ERASMUS POLICY STATEMENT
Our Erasmus+ Policy at Ostim Technical University is to lead students and faculty members to develop new experiences and skills through Erasmus+ Mobility. To achieve this goal, our university connects students and faculty with international research centers, encourages research and development through exchange and education programs, and provides opportunities for education and experience at international universities.
The university is responsible for creating a qualified educational program that will ensure it plays an appropriate role in maintaining the Erasmus+ program, promoting the Erasmus+ program, and enabling as many students and faculty members as possible to benefit from this opportunity. To achieve these tasks, necessary information is shared on the websites of all faculties and departments, and students are informed through meetings. Relevant information, documents, and procedures are shared on the Erasmus Coordination Office's website and are regularly updated.
It is important to increase the number of higher education graduates, support the relevance of higher education, and strengthen students' employability skills. Therefore, Ostim Technical University places great emphasis on updating its curriculum to meet these needs. The goals include enhancing quality through mobility and international collaborations, equipping academic and administrative staff with teaching and training skills in foreign countries, increasing the number of students participating in international exchange programs, improving graduates' employability, strengthening the knowledge triangle in education, research, and business, and improving governance and financing.
Our university aims to internationalize by involving students and academic staff in this process and establishing strategic plans to provide modern education. To achieve this goal, it continues to increase its partnerships and collaborations. As a result, the global profile of our university is rising, and its dynamic and open policy is being promoted. The established partnerships and connections are determined in accordance with high-quality standards, common goals, and the needs and opportunities of students and staff. Through these collaborations, both students and staff are provided with the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment and are encouraged to engage in interdisciplinary projects.
Although Ostim Technical University was established at the beginning of the 2021-2027 Erasmus Project period, it has already established collaborations with many universities and institutes. In line with its strategic plans, the university has opened its doors to incoming students and provided support to outgoing students. Through the Buddy Program, the university introduces incoming international students to both our institution and the city.
In order to prevent any discrimination during the exchange program process, selection criteria are based on the academic achievements and language skills of the applicants. The university is responsible for balancing the number of incoming and outgoing students and staff and ensuring the smooth progression of the exchange procedure. The process is conducted with attention to objectivity, transparency, and equality, ensuring that our students and academic staff have the opportunity to enhance their educational quality and advance towards achieving their career goals.
